Kooch-i-ching's mission is to inspire the growth of young men and instill in them the importance of service to others through fun, challenging, wilderness adventures that embrace the ideals of teamwork, self discovery and an unquenchable work ethic.

"At Kooch-i-ching, fun comes in two forms. On the one hand, there is the pure enjoyment of doing fun things with good friends and, on the other, the joy and deep sense of satisfaction that grows out of real accomplishment."
- - John L. Holden, Director 1953-1980

"If you really want to know somebody, go on a canoe trip with him"
