2009 Sessions
Kooch-i-ching's
Prep Division includes boys completing grades 3, 4 and 5; ages 9, 10
and 11. Our Junior Division includes boys completing grades 6 and 7;
ages 12 and 13. Our Intermediate Division includes young men completing
grades 8 and 9; ages 14 and 15 and our Senior Division includes young
men completing grades 10 and 11; who are 16, 17 and 18 years of age.
New
in 2009, Preps may attend a 3-week session starting a week later than
our first 4-week session, the 4-week second session or a total of
7-weeks. Juniors and Intermediates may attend for the entire 8-week
season or may come for either the first 4-week session or the second
4-weeks. In 2009 Kooch-i-ching's 8-week session will begin on June 13 and end on August 9 The first of our two 4-week sessions will begin on June 13 and end on July 11 The second 4-week session will begin on July 13 and end on August 9 The new 3-week Prep session will open June 21 and end on July 11 with the first 4-week session

The
parents or guardians of young men enrolled at Kooch-i-ching accept
financial responsibility for their son's/ward's enrollment which
includes his tuition, his travel to and from camp and any incidental
expenses. In addition, Seniors and CITs who go on a Hudson Bay trip are
usually charged a Trip Fee not to exceed $500 that is used to help
defray the cost of the train and float plane travel associated with
"the big trip."
Kooch-i-ching's 2009 tuition costs are as follows:
Preps (completing grades 3, 4 and 5): 7-weeks - $5900; 4-weeks - $4200: 3-weeks - $2900
Juniors (completing grades 6 and 7): 8-weeks - $6950; 4-weeks - $4200
Intermediates (completing grades 8 and 9): 8-weeks - $6950; 4-weeks - $4200
Seniors (completing grades 10 and 11): 8-weeks - $6950* *Trip fee not included
Although
Kooch tuition costs are substantial, it is worth noting that only about
two-thirds of the camp's operating expenses are funded by tuition
revenue. The remaining one third is provided by endowment income and by
the annual gifts of alumni, parents and friends.
Parents or
guardians should include a $800 deposit with any application. In
addition, parents or guardians of 2009 applicants are responsible for
meeting the tuition payment schedules outlined below:
8-week & 4-week Applications January 1, 2009 - $1000 March 15, 2009 - $1000 May 15, 2009 - Balance
Refund Policy:
Early applications may be cancelled prior to March 15, 2009 with a full
refund, except for the original deposit of $800. Between March 15 and
May 15, 2009, one-half of the tuition due will be retained. After May
15, 2009 all tuition paid will be retained. In addition, no reduction
in tuition is made for late arrival, early departure, in the event of
dismissal or withdrawal due to homesickness, misconduct, or any other
cause, other than illness or injury requiring the attention of a
physician at home.
