The Kooch-i-ching Way of Camping
Kooch-i-ching offers three types of trips: canoeing, backpacking and climbing. But the heart of the wilderness quest at Kooch-i-ching is canoe travel through Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Travel that follows the trails of the voyageurs and fur-traders. Travel that blazes new trails of its own.
A Kooch-i-ching canoe trip is the anticipation of departure. It is a final check: Do we have it all—food, equipment, a toothbrush, a rain jacket? It is sliding the canoes into the water, loading the wannigans and Duluth Packs, a wave to the bus driver or boat pilot, then the rhythmic dip of paddles.
